120. Take a Bite Out of Cancer Dinner-Madams Organ
Welcome! Check out our featured DC area business Maids in Black, DC Cleaning Services.
I don’t have a cool survival story to share.
Matter of fact, I haven’t had anyone close to me diagnosed with breast cancer.
I’m just a guy with a mother, and sisters, and close friends that I care deeply about.
I started this blog to talk about fun things to do in the city, but let’s be clear. The most important thing in all of this is people.
And because so many folks do have breast cancer stories (DC leads the country in breast cancer deaths), we are doing something about it on October 27th at Madams Organ Restaurant.
Take A Bite Out of Cancer Dinner at Madams Organ
For the entire month of October, DC area restaurants will donate a portion of their sales to Take a Bite out of Breast Cancer - an outreach and fundraising campaign focusing on educating Washington, DC area residents about early detection and awareness in support of Pink Jams.
There are more than a dozen DC area restaurants involved in a variety of DC area neighborhoods. Almost every single night in October you’ll find a participating restaurant.
District365, along with @GoGastronomy and @ellinida_dc have signed on as ambassadors for Madams Organ Restaurant. Our goal is to encourage our readers to join us for a great meal with proceeds going to fight breast cancer.
So will you?
If so, leave a comment below or contact me @365thingstododc on Twitter. {Official Invites to follow}
Thank you for your support!
P.S. If you can’t make it to Adams Morgan on October 27th, check out the PinkJams! website for a listing of participating restaurants and dates.
