70. Sandy Point State Park
Thought you might like something a bit different now that the weather is finally acting right.
Sandy Point State Park is a little escape from the city to get some sand between your toes and some sun on those legs that probably haven’t seen the light of day since the Reagan administration.
You know who you are : -)
It’s a cool spot to grab some food, bring the fam or the significant other, and just chill.
You can go for a swim, relax under an umbrella, or take a walk on the trails through the park.
This is a beach on the Annapolis shore, so don’t expect Ocho Rios. And there is a jellyfish warning for some areas.
But all in all, a nice day can be had with friends, family, or someone you care about. It’s $5 per person, but if you’re looking for something fun to do in Washington DC, I think it’s well worth it. Bring your food/drinks and make a day of it or check out their concession stand.
Enjoy a relaxing day.
