Raise your hand if you’re tired of facing the cubicle every day and would rather travel the world!
In the US, and especially in workaholic cities like DC, the idea of quitting your job to travel is considered heresy. But the tradition of the “gap year,” sabbatical, or careerbreak is pretty common in other parts of the world. And Meet, Plan, Go! aims to make it part of our national discourse too.
Meet, Plan, Go! is an event that takes place on October 18 in 17 cities across the US and Canada. The $15 seminars feature panel discussions with travel veterans and are aimed at giving participants tools and tips for breaking away from the daily grind in favor of a career hiatus for long-term travel.
Attendees will come away with not only information and inspiration, but an electronic goodie bag filled with discounts and coupons, and national sponsors like Intrepid Travel are giving away free trips.
Walk-ins will be accepted as space permits, cash only. For more information, and to register online, please visit the DC Meet, Plan, Go event page.
Stop dreaming, start packing!
Join us on October 18 to make your travel dreams a reality.
