81. Kenilworth Aquatic Gardens
No matter how many years (or days) you’ve been in the D.C area, the question of what to do keeps coming up.
In many ways, Washington D.C is an ever-changing landscape of people, city life, and natural beauty.
In other ways, it’s the same as it has ever been.
However you view it, the natural beauty of places like Kenilworth Aquatic Gardens is often forgotten in our day to day city pursuits. When was the last time you took a few moments to take in this type of simple beauty?
Imagine lovely idyllic scenes of floating lillies, snapping turtles, magnificent blue herons, geese, huge dragonflies, beaver, and hundreds of butterflies of multiple species.
Kenilworth Park and Aquatic Gardens is a lovely Sunday morning getaway. Stunning flowers, large lily pads, and moments of tranquility. Try to go early in the morning before it gets too hot. I think you’ll absolutely enjoy it.
Please take a few moments to meet the photographer behind these lovely photos: Angela B. Pan
I’ve always loved to travel and I really wanted to find a way where I could make it my living. Photography was the perfect piece to the puzzle.
I’ve been actively taking landscape and nature images for about a year now and I can’t imagine doing anything else.
Angela uses High Dynamic Range (HDR) where multiple exposures are combined to get a more accurate perception of what the eye sees. See more of Angela’s hdr landscape nature photography and follow her on twitter at @abpanphoto
Hope you enjoyed this photo tour. Try to make it out to Kenilworth this summer.
