71. Library of Congress

Welcome! Check out our featured DC area business Maids in Black, DC Cleaning Services.

One of my new year’s resolutions for this year was to get out into the city and experience some of the iconic DC landmarks.  You know, those places that those of us living in the DC area may write off as too touristy.

Well, most of those locations turned out to be truly memorable experiences .  Besides, why should tourists have all the fun?

A good example of one of these places is the Library of Congress.

The largest library in the world, and probably the most stunningly beautiful!   Any description I give here will not do it justice, but I’ll just say that the level of detail in the building design is unreal.  There isn’t a single corner of the Library of Congress that isn’t magnificent.

You can check out the original drafts of the constitution, the bill of rights, the Gutenburg bible and a host of other amazing and historical artifacts.  The Library of Congress is both intellectually stimulating and absolutely beautiful.

You have to go!

P.S. One of the little known treats about the Library of Congress is their annual concert series.  Opera, jazz, you name it…and all performances are free.

My son is going to be a Senate Page this summer for four weeks, and our family will be living in D.C. during his stay. Your website is the best one I’ve seen. Thank you SO much! We’ve been to D.C. before, so I was really looking for some unique experiences.
