Welcome! Check out our featured DC area business Maids in Black, DC Cleaning Services.

The Washington National Cathedral in DC is a simply awe inspiring place.  The towering architecture, the strikingly beautiful stained glass, the serene gardens…it’s one of  those truly magical locations in Washington DC.

Whether you’re religious or not, you’ll be able to appreciate the beauty that is the Washington National Cathedral.  Sure, it’s not the first thing that comes to mind when you think of Things to Do in DC, but as the 6th largest church in the world, it’s an amazing experience if just for the history.

If it’s your first time there, you’ll enjoy the little walk-through section that details the history of the Cathedral and some interesting tidbits on how it was built.

If you get a chance, and you’re comfortable with heights, take the elevator to the observation deck and take in the brilliant view of the city.

Do yourself a favor and visit this treasure.

The Washington National Cathedral is a hidden gem and a must see!  Be sure to check their hours before you go or enjoy one of their guided tours.  It’s well worth the trip.

  1. What a gorgeous cathedral! The former Catholic school girl in me is giddy just looking at these pics.

Yay, I should have remembered to let you know about this post Kristi. I have yet another Catholic church coming up soon. They’re some of the most beautiful buildings in DC.
