Posted at April 14, 2015 by 0 Comment

Welcome! Check out our featured DC area business Maids in Black, DC Cleaning Services.

I have the perfect event for all you sweet tooths out there! You’re in for a real treat because this Thursday the Sugar Showdown is taking place at Poste.

Poste Moderne Brasserie will host some of the District’s best pastry chefs in a culinary battle of sweets. Attendees will sample each dessert and cast their vote for the winner. Secret ingredients will be revealed and will be required to be part of the recipe. The crowd favorite is determined per your votes along with a winner deemed by official judges.

Participating pastry chefs include: Casto Unson from Poste Moderne Brasserie; Caitlin Dysart of 2941 Restaurant; Meredith Tomason of Rare Sweets; Deborah Brown of Trummer’s On Main; and Carri-Anne Hamer of Pearl Dive Oyster Bar.

This event will benefit Brainfood. If you haven’t heard of it, it’s a non-profit youth development organization that uses food and cooking to teach and empower DC’s teens.

Come enjoy decadent desserts and sparkling wine complimentary with the purchase of a ticket.
